Wrap-Around Care
Busy parents sometimes need the flexibility of a longer day. Our wrap-around care and our Holiday Club mean that you can relax knowing that your child is in safe hands and having fun until you are ready to collect.
Breakfast Clubs, After-School and Teatime Clubs
Breakfast Club takes place from 7.40am - 8.10am.
Early birds may arrive from 8.10am and all should be in school by 8.30am (Prep) or 8.40am (Pre-Prep). Friday mornings see lots of Prep children arrive at 8am for Running Club - it’s very popular!
The normal school day finishes at 3.30pm (Pre-Prep) and at 3.45pm (Prep); however, there are activities after school most evenings.
Pre-Prep After-School Club is a pleasant place for informal play and relaxation for children who need to be collected after the end of the school day. There’s often a film and the chance for some down-time or, if weather permits, a good scamper around in the grounds enjoying the late afternoon sunshine.
Prep After-School Club provides a quiet, calm place for homework to be completed or books to be enjoyed. The clubs come together for a light afternoon tea at 4.30pm, followed by play or relaxation depending on energy levels. Clubs finish at 5.30pm.
Holiday Club - Fun at Berky
Using the fantastic facilities and grounds of Berkhampstead School and Day Nursery, we provide care and endless fun during EVERY school holiday (except the final week in December) for children aged 3–8. Activities include junk modelling, face painting, movie time, drama, music, arts and crafts, dance, stories and cookery. Outdoor play is always part of the plan - whatever the weather - so children should come prepared for adventure!
For older children in Years 3 to 6, we also offer Berky Experience Days, which might include exciting activities like computing, baking, sports, art and crafts.
With plenty of opportunities to play, socialise, and learn a little along the way, fun is always guaranteed at Berky!
How to Book
Booking is essential. We have a new booking system in place; to secure a place please click on the button below. Fees are £49.90 per day or £225.63 for a full week, these are payable in advance and include meals and snacks.
