PTA

The 'Friends of Berkhampstead' is our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), a registered charity and a vibrant part of school life. If your child attends Berky, you're already a valued member. Get involved as much or as little as you like, and enjoy our fun, sociable events that bring our community together.

Aims

The PTA is at the heart of a strong community of parents, children, and teachers at Berkhampstead. Its aim is to support and expand this network, raising funds for the school and other charities through social events. Funds raised for the school go toward projects that enrich our children’s experience and complement the school’s own provision.

Activities

We host a vibrant calendar of events throughout the school year, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Highlights typically include our ever-popular Quiz Night, Children’s Christmas Discos, ‘Festive Friday’, Chess Congress, House Pancake Races and the much-anticipated Summer Festival. Plus, our half-termly cake sales are always a sweet treat!

Fundraising

We also raise funds through initiatives such as our Secondhand Uniform Shop. You can start fundraising today by signing up to easyfundraising.org.uk and shopping online - every purchase makes a difference!

Achievements

In recent years, the PTA has funded various projects, including the Prep Wellbeing Pod, co-curricular workshops for the children, new playground equipment and the annual Leavers’ Disco.

Get involved

We warmly welcome all parents to our evening PTA meetings, where you can enjoy drinks and nibbles while socialising and helping to plan events. These gatherings are a great opportunity to discuss fundraising initiatives and how funds will be allocated.

We also host regular coffee mornings - perfect for meeting other parents, hearing about upcoming events, and sharing new ideas. We’d love to see you there and truly appreciate your input and support!

Contact us

Each class has a PTA Class Representative who helps share information, coordinate class contributions and organise parent socials.

We’d love to hear from you - whether you have questions, fundraising ideas, or would like to get involved, either regularly or as a one-off. Don’t hesitate to get in touch!
