The children enjoy their meals and are encouraged to broaden their tastes. Food is cooked freshly on-site by our dedicated in-house catering team, Palmer & Howells, prioritising seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible. With a focus on quality and variety, every dish is designed to be both delicious and nourishing.
Understanding our pupils’ preferences is at the heart of our menu planning. Chef Manager Rob actively engages with the children, attending Food Council meetings to listen and shape a bespoke menu each term. This tailored approach ensures that meals not only satisfy young appetites but also meet nutritional needs.
Each week, our balanced menu offers a wide range of nutritious meals, carefully checked by Palmer & Howells’ nutritionist to ensure a well-rounded diet. Our lunches consist of two delicious courses—a main and a dessert. Every dish, including mid-morning snacks, is made from scratch here at school.
We also cater to specific dietary needs, with rigorous allergen management practices in place. Our goal is to support the overall health and happiness of our pupils by providing them with meals that are as nutritious as they are enjoyable, offering them a fantastic culinary experience each day.
By teaching children about food, where it comes from, how to cook it and how it affects their bodies, the resources and recipes equip children with the knowledge and confidence to cook from scratch, as well as forming positive eating habits that will last a lifetime.
