Berkhampstead Day Nursery, Charlton Kings, opened its doors in January 2025, with the Pre-School Wise Bears room set to launch in the spring. Offering year-round care and education for children aged three months up to Reception, it mirrors the aims and values of our original Day Nursery on Pittville Circus Road. Just like Pittville Circus, we provide a nurturing, happy, and stimulating environment where children are cared for by highly skilled and dedicated staff.
The nursery features five age-appropriate classrooms, a library, sensory room and dining room. Outdoors, we have a specially designed Early Years playground and take advantage of local parks and amenities, including Timbercombe Woods and Charlton Kings Library.
Berkhampstead’s reputation for excellence is well-established. As one of the leading Prep Schools in the county, we’ve been nurturing young minds since 1945. Our most recent ISI inspection in November 2023 rated the Day Nursery as ‘Outstanding’—a standard we are proud of and aim to replicate at Charlton Kings.
