500 words!

Once again, one of our favourite times of year rolled round - The 500 Word Story Competition. Imaginations were let loose, thesauruses were at the ready and the children were equipped to delve into worlds of their own. The children, as always, threw themselves into the challenge creating some truly beautiful, gripping and exciting pieces of work. The vocabulary being used and the characters, settings and action created demonstrated not only the children’s developing knowledge of grammar and language, but also their confidence in their own thoughts and ideas. As teachers, we wholly look forward to this time of year and feel privileged to be able to read the stories created. The children should be incredibly proud of their work and the effort every single one of them put in. Well done!
