Day in the Life of a Vet

Reception are enjoying a series of really interesting visits this week. Following an exciting visit yesterday from a paramedic - complete with ambulance and siren, the children were thrilled to welcome Lindsey the vet this morning. Lindsey told the children all about her job as a vet and explained that her job is not only to make poorly animals better, but to keep healthy animals in good health too. She showed the children a thermometer and explained where it is inserted. Needless to say, this caused a ripple of giggles! Bones from a horse were also passed round the inquisitive young children. Tomorrow a doctor is visiting.
