We are delighted to be taking part in a nationwide science experiment. In September, 2kg of rocket seeds were flown to the International Space Station (ISS), and spent several months in microgravity before returning to earth. The experiment looks at how plant growth may be affected, our children planted ‘space seeds’ alongside ordinary rocket seeds and will measure any differences in growth patterns over the next seven weeks. Children from Year 5 and Year 2 worked together on the project, all seeds are now sown and they are eagerly awaiting the first sign of green shoots.
