Preparatory Department
The Preparatory Department builds on the solid foundation laid down in earlier years. The children have a form base but are taught by a wealth of specialist teachers.
Together with the academic curriculum, Music, Art, ICT, PE, PSHCE and Drama help to provide a well-rounded education. Subjects are taught with regard to the national curriculum and 11+ Common Entrance and scholarship to independent schools. Furthermore, children are thoroughly prepared for the entrance tests to grammar schools.
As children progress up the school they take on responsibility to help with daily activities and events with the emphasis on working together and helping each other.
