Berkhampstead has an excited 'buzz' of enthusiastic teaching and learning, which on a visit can be experienced first hand. I would be delighted to show you around and give you the chance to talk to staff and see the boys and girls in action.

 

We are proud of what we do here and were pleased to have our 'outstanding' pastoral care and our 'demanding and interesting' curriculum endorsed by ISI Inspectors.  Reading that our pupils are 'effective and competent learners and have highly positive attitudes to their learning' was no surprise, but splendid to see on paper.

 

At Berkhampstead, we celebrate the individual. Every child will have chance to discover and develop their unique talents.

 

Our Parents, Staff and Governors, when surveyed, identified one aim of this school valued above all others - that the children should be happy.  We know we achieve this because there is evidence all around of smiling and purposeful boys and girls.  We believe it is because they are so happy, that they work hard and develop the attitude and confidence that allows them to thrive in their senior schools.

 

Our next Whole School Open Day will be held on Saturday March 10th 2012.

 

Early Years and School Nursery Open Afternoons will be held in the Summer Term or visits may be arranged by appointment.
