Art brings out the creativity in children and it is also a great subject for building enthusiasm and excitement.

Prep pupils have been making endangered animals from clay for a project related to David Shepherd's art. Many entered a poster design competition and twelve successful Year 4 artists travelled to London to see their 'Tomorrow's World' Art displayed in the Natural History Museum in London - well done to all of you! Selection of posters.
Celia Smith was 'Artist in Residence' in the Autumn Term for two days and showed the children how to make birds, create leaves, flowers, snails, caterpillars and butterflies from a variety of wires. Telephone cables, copper coil and an assortment of garden wires were used to great effect to make a super sculpture on the wall outside the entrance to the Prep building - see below.
